Tribal Wars

Too many online games pass us by when we are surfing the net. One of the best, however, is Tribal Wars. Tribal Wars incorporates most RPG characteristics but also has that little edge. Like most RPGs you build up your own village, army, clan and make new friends. But with Tribal Wars there is so much more.
Tribal Wars’ layout is one of the most impressive thing about this RPG. Unlike most conventional text based RPGs Tribal Wars has its own automated overview, this means that when you are looking over your village, you can see what is being created, you can experience what troops are being built and generally get a better experience of the game.
When you first start off Tribal Wars your village is pretty basic but due to the amount of worlds and space on these worlds you are always near people around the same strength. This is were the fun starts. Meeting new people is easier than ever, with their map overview you can literally see who is around you. You can issue commands to attack, support or fund other villages. As well as all this Tribal Wars’ clan system (Tribes) is one of the best. With its in-built forum and activity monitor for players you can really manage hundreds of players that reside within your tribe.
Here is a look of what Tribal Wars is like:

Looks like a few more sleepless nights for me.

I just joined it per a friends suggestion. Im very nervous about joining a “late” world where players are already built up. I think Im going to need allies if Im going to do that

They had a Christmas and New Year’s attack break. Other than that I can’t think of anything good about it. I’ve played it about a month and have decided it isn’t worth my time.
1) If targeted by several players or by tribe, you can’t survive.
2) Game encourages players in an area to join a tribe and attack those near by so they abandon their village so it can be farmed.
3) There are no bashing rules so other players can hit you as many times as they like.
4) If a stronger player repeatedly attacks you, you can’t build defenses or troops fast enough to prevent future attacks.
In a typical web game of this type, the big fish go after smaller fish and smaller fish try to stay away from bigger fish. Small fish go after smaller fish or farm inactive players. There is usually a way for a small fish to get bigger however with this game you have to be lucky and be part of a local group of players.
Any group of players in an area can band together and attack other villages in an attempt to get the owner of the village to abandon the village. Once abandoned, they farm it. Once targeted, you can’t win. You can’t build troops or defenses fast enough to protect yourself. Staying online 24hrs a day can’t prevent the inevitable outcome. If you get targeted, if you don’t stay online you’re going to get farmed because the game only allows for a little amount of resources to be protected from raids.
I’ve given the game 4-6 weeks of my time and I’m done with it.
